My client is seeking a Controller to oversee all financial, human resources, and IT functions for a rapidly growing multi-unit franchise group in the beverage and hospitality industry. This role will play a critical part in building scalable financial systems, driving operational excellence, and providing strategic insights to guide the company’s continued expansion.

You’ll work closely with executive leadership to strengthen financial discipline, optimize cash flow, and establish processes that support sustainable growth across multiple business entities.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee and manage third-party accounting partners to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts; prepare lender and KPI reporting packages.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, and forecasting across multiple entities.
• Review weekly bank reconciliations and oversee the company’s cash deposit program.
• Approve vendor invoices for accuracy and appropriate coding prior to processing.
• Track development expenditures and coordinate construction draws in alignment with lender requirements.
• Partner with auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with US GAAP and all tax regulations.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and process discipline.
• Manage relationships with payroll and HR vendors, ensuring accurate records, compliance, and efficiency.
• Oversee technology and system integrations across finance, HR, and operations platforms.
• Provide HR and payroll analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members as the organization scales.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or operations—ideally in multi-unit retail, franchise, or hospitality environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven success collaborating with auditors and external partners.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting and adapt as the business grows.
