About the Opportunity: • We’re seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Pharmacy Director to oversee pharmacy operations at a leading acute care medical facility. What You’ll Do: • Lead and manage all aspects of pharmaceutical services and pharmacy operations within the hospital. • Develop and oversee budgets, manage inventory and purchasing, and ensure cost-effective medication management. • Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and clinical best practices. • Collaborate with medical and administrative teams to support clinical programs and initiatives. • Evaluate pharmacy practices, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and maintain license and accreditation requirements. • Review and approve medication orders, including IV admixtures and chemotherapy. • Support pharmacoeconomic efforts by monitoring medication use and ensuring alignment with cost-saving initiatives.
What We’re Looking For: • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred. • 3–5 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role within a hospital or acute care setting. • Current and active pharmacist license in South Carolina. • Strong knowledge of pharmacy systems and medication use processes. • Proven experience managing budgets, leading teams, and driving process improvements.
