About the Opportunity: The Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring that food quality, guest satisfaction, and restaurant cleanliness meet company expectations. They must ensure these standards are upheld in all areas of the back of the house (BOH). Additionally, the Kitchen Manager will ensure that all team members adhere to and follow the established standards, procedures, and policies.
What You’ll Do:
Lead BOH operations which includes the kitchen, prep/cook areas, dish room and express line using established procedures.
Assign team members to positions as needed to provide proper coverage to all areas of the kitchen.
Delegate shift responsibilities to team members and ensure proper completion of assigned tasks and checklists.
Review and report on the previous night’s closing and detail cleaning work.
Oversee food production to ensure that recipes, production sheets, food handling procedures and waste control meet company standards, according to the Production Chart Pledge.
Ensure food taste, appearance and temperatures meet company standards.
Ensure restaurant cleanliness and organization of all coolers, freezers, dry stock areas and work areas are maintained to company standards.
Adhere to all safety, sanitation and cleanliness requirements. Follow safe and healthful work practices. Also ensure that all team members adhere to and follow the established standards, procedures and policies.
Ensure that standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained at all times, including prep sheets, food handling, taste and temperature procedures.
Conduct weekly cleaning inspections. Report any issues to senior management.
Train team members as required, following the company’s training practices.
Complete food inventories. Based on those inventories, place orders as needed.
Complete administrative paperwork including checklists, POCs, etc., assigned by restaurant leadership, accurately and in a timely manner.
Create all BOH POCs, by Friday, on a bi-weekly basis. This includes creating and distributing to all managers.
What We’re Looking for:
High school education preferred.
Completed all team member positional training and certifications in the restaurant.
Reliably reports to work as scheduled for first or second-shift work.
Possess strong people skills, ability to work in a fast paced team-oriented environment and ability to uphold workplace standards.
Must demonstrate strong communication skills to include: listening, speaking and all forms of written communication
