An organization is seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Vice President of Engineering to lead software strategy and drive technical innovation. This role is focused on engineering leadership and technical execution, not people management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable, secure, and future-ready platforms while leveraging AI, automation, and modern cloud technologies to accelerate delivery and impact.
What You’ll Do
Define and execute a forward-looking software engineering strategy aligned with business objectives
Drive adoption of modern technologies including AI-driven DevOps, Generative AI/LLMs, DevSecOps, cloud-native and serverless architectures, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines
Architect and evolve systems to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and sustainability
Implement engineering frameworks and best practices that improve delivery speed and software quality
Manage and reduce technical debt while maintaining long-term platform stability
Establish and track key engineering metrics related to velocity, reliability, and quality
Lead secure, compliant, and innovative engineering practices across the software lifecycle
Leverage low-code/no-code platforms and automation to improve efficiency and time to market
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience in software engineering leadership, including 5+ years at the VP or Senior Director level
Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Strong background in microservices architecture, containerization, and CI/CD tooling
Proven success leading Agile and DevOps transformations at scale
Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML and automation initiatives within engineering organizations
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
