Title: Director of Finance

Location: Spartanburg, SC (In-Office only)

Summary

Our client is seeking a Director of Finance to lead corporate finance strategy, capital planning, and funding execution. This is a high-impact leadership role with direct exposure to executive leadership and meaningful influence over the organization’s financial trajectory.

 

You will own the development and management of capital markets programs, lender relationships, and financial modeling framework that supports strategic growth. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys structuring sophisticated transactions while driving data-informed decision-making.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning
  • Evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
  • Support major initiatives including acquisitions, capital investments, and expansion strategies
  • Management of three direct-reports, with responsibility for their performance and development.
  • Lead annual budgeting and long-range financial planning processes
  • Oversee monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting cadence
  • Manage cash flow planning and capital allocation strategies across business units
  • Evaluate return on investment for major projects and initiatives
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, including asset/liability and cash flow modeling
  • Manage relationships with bank lenders, institutional investors, and external partners
  • Oversee funding platforms and capital structures across multiple business units
  • Structure and execute new financing arrangements to support growth and liquidity
  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc financial analysis tied to capital strategy and corporate development
  • Lead, develop, and mentor Finance Analysts while establishing strong operating discipline

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or similar field
  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in finance, with exposure to capital markets or complex transactions
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale financial transactions and funding structures
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skill set
  • Experience operating in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
  • Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes independently
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing team members
