About the Opportunity My client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Financial Analyst to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial data management in a fast-paced, project-based environment. In this role, you’ll assist with accounts payable, job costing, cash flow tracking, and financial record maintenance.
Beyond transactional responsibilities, you’ll collaborate across teams, support billing and forecasting efforts, and help ensure financial accuracy across projects. What You’ll Do
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring proper documentation
Match invoices to purchase orders and job details
Assist with payment processing, including ACH, checks, and credit cards
Maintain vendor records and communicate with vendors regarding discrepancies
Enter bills, expenses, and payments into accounting systems (QuickBooks Online or similar)
Ensure transactions are coded to appropriate GL accounts, jobs, and classes
Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
Support job costing by assigning expenses to the correct jobs and cost categories
Track job-related costs and identify missing or miscoded items
Assist in maintaining accurate job financials and WIP reporting
Support billing and accounts receivable processes, including tracking invoicing readiness
Monitor A/R aging reports and assist with follow-up on outstanding invoices
Track customer payments and maintain collection notes
Assist with weekly cash flow forecasting and track incoming/outgoing cash activity
Support updates to forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting
Provide payroll support, including data review and expense tracking
Track subcontractor invoices and ensure compliance documentation is maintained (W-9s, COIs, etc.)
Assist with month-end close, reporting, audit preparation, and general finance support as needed
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or in progress preferred)
0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or administrative support
Basic understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable and debits/credits
Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting systems is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and data organization
Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in financial data
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
High level of professionalism, reliability, and responsiveness
Eagerness to learn and grow within a finance and accounting function
